Weekly "Newsletter" From Mrs. Rubert:

We have officially made it to the final week of 3rd grade! It is going to be such a fun and memorable week filled with celebrations and special events.

Monday:
Monday will be the last day students switch for Math and Reading.
If your student still has a Saxon Math book at home, please send it back to school so we can get all materials turned in before summer break.

Tuesday – Colonial/Holes Day:
Our Colonial Day will take place Tuesday from 8:30–10:00 AM. Students may wear their AVA Spirit Shirt with athletic bottoms for the event. We are excited for another fun morning of colonial activities and stations! In the afternoon, students will get to relax and enjoy watching Holes together.

Wednesday – Colonial Market Day:
Students will participate in our Colonial Market Day. They will present and share their colonial market items with classmates and other grade levels. This is always such a fun way to showcase all of their hard work and creativity!

Thursday – Cleaning Day:
Thursday will be our classroom cleaning day! Students will be cleaning out desks and bringing all school supplies home. Please make sure your student’s backpack comes to school empty so they have plenty of room for all of their supplies.

Last Day of School – Luau Day!
We will end the year with a Luau Celebration! Students may wear luau or beach-themed outfits and may bring a towel so they can “sit at the beach” during our festivities.

Thank you for all of your support throughout this incredible school year. It has been such a joy watching your students grow, learn, and shine this year!

With Love,

Mrs. Rubert

Meet the Teacher - Letter from Mrs. Rubert

I am thrilled to begin a new role this year at Aspen View Academy as your child's third grade teacher! I have previously taught fourth grade and kindergarten but third grade is my absolute favorite! I am a Washington State native and have now lived in Colorado for eight years! I received my bachelors degree in Elementary Education at Western Washington University and my Masters of Education at City University of Seattle. I love AVA! I currently have two of my own children in the building including my first grader, Scarlett, and my seventh grader, Ben. My oldest, Matilda, is attending Colorado Early Colleges as a freshman. My husband Tyler and I enjoy jumping in the car with the kids and exploring in the mountains, heading to the lake for kayaking, or discovering a new hike!  We have two cats, Kiwi and Henry, and recently adopted a new pup named, Buckley. I love country music, attending concerts, sunshine, being outdoors, traveling, and spending time with my family! I am so excited for this school year! Thank you for sharing your wonderful children with me!
