Weekly "Newsletter" From Ms. Alvarez:

Happy November! I hope everyone is feeling recovered from Halloween! We are getting into the busiest season of the year! I love this time of year with the students though!

Our next couple of weeks up to Thanksgiving Break will be getting back to our regular school routine and working through our CKLA Units! Right now, students are learning about the Human Body! Students will be bringing home their Human Body study guide on Monday. Please take some time to review it together at home—our Human Body Test will be on November 11th.

We’re also looking forward to Veterans Day, which is coming up soon. Our Veterans Day Assembly will take place from 9:00–9:40 a.m. as we honor and celebrate those who have served our country. The students always do such an amazing job performing at this assembly and it's so fun to see them up on the stage!

Looking ahead, middle of the year testing will begin after we return from Thanksgiving Break. More details will be shared as we get closer to that time.

With Love,

Ms. Alvarez

Meet the Teacher - Letter from Ms. Alvarez

I’m so grateful to be part of the AVA community! This is my sixth year of teaching and my fifth year here at AVA. I truly love this school, our students, and the amazing families I get to work with every day. I earned both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Colorado. Teaching is my passion, and being in the classroom with your children is genuinely my happy place! I care deeply about your child’s well-being and am committed to creating a learning environment where every student can thrive. I’m here to partner with you to support your student’s success—please never hesitate to reach out.

I’m looking forward to the BRIGHTEST year yet!
