Mindy Stump
Happy May! I can't believe we have made it to the last month of our school year together. What a great year we have had so far!
Our Living Explorer Museum was a huge success, and it was wonderful to see so many of you there. The students put an incredible amount of effort into their Explorer Posters and were so proud to share their hard work and knowledge with you.
We also had a blast at Skate City! For many of our students, it was their very first time skating—but they showed so much determination and perseverance. Even after a few tumbles, they got right back up and kept trying. We’re so proud of their positive attitudes!
On the academic side, we’ve completed our End of Year testing, and we’re wrapping up make-ups for students who were absent. Keep an eye on upcoming Thursday Folders, where you’ll find your child’s DIBELS and MAP Parent Reports. I’ll also send out an email to let you know exactly when to expect those.
Mark your calendars! Our 3rd Annual Colonial Day is coming up on Friday, May 16th, from 8:45–10:15 AM. This special event will take place outdoors, so please make sure your student is dressed for the weather. It’s going to be a fun and interactive morning!
As we head into the final stretch of the school year, I’ll be sending out emails with reminders and details about upcoming events and special dates. Stay tuned—we’ve got some great things ahead!
- Parents please connect to our Class Dojo HERE - this is how to monitor your students behavior (positive and negative)
- Please send your student to school with a filled water bottle as well as a couple healthy snacks for the day. Reminder that we are a nut-free classroom.
- Colorado weather changes hourly so please pack your student appropriate attire for the day.
- We will have PE every Monday - and some Fridays. Please have your student wear tennis shoes for those days.
This week we have STEM all week.

Meet Mrs. Mindy Stump
I am delighted to begin my ninth year at Aspen View Academy this year! I have been teaching for 18 years. I received my bachelors degree in Elementary Education at John Brown University and my Masters of Education at Cedarville University.
It is a privilege to be a teacher. I became a teacher to impact the lives of students. My first goal is to provide a safe and caring environment for your child. Secondly, I strive to provide a learning experience where each student is able to meet their full potential as students and future leaders. Thirdly, I want to partner with you to create a team that works for the best interests of your child.
It is crucial to a child's success to have support and encouragement from their families, school, and community. I appreciate your involvement and support this year as we work together. I look forward to an excellent 2024-2025 school year!
