Weekly "Newsletter" From Mrs. Stump:

Happy 2nd Full Week of School!

Our class has had a wonderful start to the year and we are finally into our routine, as well as switching for our skills groups last week. This week we will begin our beginning-of-the-year DIBELS testing. Please note that this will be the only time your child completes DIBELS with their homeroom teacher, middle of the year and end of year testing will be done with their reading teacher!

This week also marks the start of homework in 3rd grade. Please help your child establish a good routine by reminding them to complete their work and bring it back each day in their black homework folder. As a reminder, please make sure your child is bringing a water bottle to school each day and at least two snacks.

Looking ahead, students will be starting a river project next week. To make this project successful, we’ll be asking for some donated materials. A Sign-Up Genius will be sent out on Monday, so please keep an eye out for that email if you’d like to contribute!! I will also have it posted here on my website after I send the initial email.

Thank you for your continued support—we are looking forward to another great week of learning!

With love,
Mrs. Stump

Meet Mrs. Mindy Stump

I am delighted to begin my tenth year at Aspen View Academy this year! I have been teaching for 18 years. I received my bachelors degree in Elementary Education at John Brown University and my Masters of Education at Cedarville University.

It is a privilege to be a teacher. I became a teacher to impact the lives of students. My first goal is to provide a safe and caring environment for your child. Secondly, I strive to provide a learning experience where each student is able to meet their full potential as students and future leaders. Thirdly, I want to partner with you to create a team that works for the best interests of your child.

It is crucial to a child's success to have support and encouragement from their families, school, and community. I appreciate your involvement and support this year as we work together. I look forward to an excellent 2025-2026 school year!
