After School Quarter 4 Clubs and Reminder

As we head into the new quarter next week a new round of after-school clubs will be starting. We are looking forward to another round of successful, interesting and exciting clubs for your students to choose from. We want to send out a few reminders.

  • First, all clubs will be starting at 4:00pm. Your students will be held in their classrooms until all call then they can transition to their club.
  • Second, please know that if a club is canceled the teacher will notify each club member as soon as possible to inform them of the cancellation.
  • Students attending clubs are expected to follow the teachers’ rules and expectations just as they would in their classrooms. Poor behavior in an after-school club still has consequences including being asked not to come back.
  • Lastly, please make sure that club members are picked up on time. There is a five-minute grace period for your student to be picked up. After the five-minute grace period families will be charged $1.00 per minute. Teachers provide this service to our families because they are passionate about what they are teaching, but they also have responsibilities outside of school as well. We are asking that all families respect the teachers’ time and efforts in helping us make the clubs an enjoyable experience for everyone by keeping these things in mind.

We appreciate your support in making this a great experience for everyone!

BEYOND THE BELL BACKGROUND

Aspen View Academy teachers and staff offer a wide variety of after school clubs. The clubs run for one quarter. They may meet once or twice a week. Registration and Club List is usually announced two weeks before the new quarter begins.

PURPOSE

Aspen View Academy’s mission and vision describe the benefits of a well-rounded education that is completed by enriching activities that extend beyond the classroom.

For the holistic growth of AVA students, varied activities that foster technology, leadership, arts, sports, nature, or character development are valued. The most successful activities are thoughtfully planned in advance, clearly communicated, and purposefully designed for AVA’s students. The process below exists to protect the outcomes that are most important for students and families as well as the school’s overall strategic focus.
