Biography

Hello!  My name is Mrs. Krohn and I am ecstatic to be a member of AVA as the newest MS art teacher!  While I may be new to AVA, I got extensive experience outside of the education field. For my 1st Bachelors, I went to the University of Central Oklahoma in Technical Theatre (lighting design emphasis) and minored in Art. I worked professionally in theatre for 10 years working several major concerts such as Elton John, The Lion King, Muse, etc.  I had the opportunity to work on Celebrity Cruise Line as an audio/video technician and a theatre lighting technician. I have been to Alaska, Hawaii, Mexico, Central America, and all over Asia. Japan is my favorite country I have been to. I got my 2nd Bachelors in Art at Colorado State University-Pueblo and graduated Summa Cum Laude. I completed my Masters in Music Education in 2023. I can play any instrument in the clarinet family, tenor sax, some piano, guitar, and cello. I performed with the Pueblo Symphony Orchestra in Bass Clarinet paying music such as the Nutcracker and Rite of Spring. But, the field I got the most experience in is art. My mother was an artist and I entered a piece in a local art show at the age of 4 and placed! I love all forms of art but most especially 3-D. I have been an artist since then. It is safe to say I have a LOT of stories. I am looking forward to meeting my students and help them create meaningful and outstanding art!  Have a blessed day!!!
