Meet Mrs. Combe

    Welcome to kindergarten!  I am excited to start my ninth year at Aspen View Academy and eleventh year of teaching. I was drawn to AVA due to its rich curriculum, strong culture and emphasis on character development. Kindergarten is my "sweet spot" as my hope is to instill a passion and curiosity of learning that children will carry with them throughout their lives.

   I grew up in California and attended San Diego State University where I earned my B.A. in Liberal Studies, Elementary Education and I did my teaching program at Metro State.  My husband is from Scotland and I had the amazing experience of living there for 2 years. We are blessed to have 2 girls, an eighth grader and sophomore in high school.

   The mountains are one of my favorite places to be.  Our family keeps active mountain biking, hiking, skiing, camping and exploring the outdoors.  In the winter, most weekends I can be found trying to keep up with my kids on the slopes.  I also enjoy cooking, reading and travel, both near and far.  I am looking  forward to an amazing 2023/24 school year!
