Last Week of School:
Monday, May 18th is the last regular day. Students will be switching classes with a regular school day.
Tuesday, May 19th is Pirate Day! Students will come dressed as pirates! Please don't feel the need to buy anything. A handkerchief around their head with a white shirt and jeans works great! (Or anything else creative) Pirate weapons are not allowed. Please note--if they don't dress as a pirate, they need to come in uniform--it is not a dress of choice day. All day we will be doing fun pirate activities in honor of the last novel that we read, Treasure Island! Arr!
Wednesday, May 20th we will have Living History from 2:45 to 3:15. Your kids have been practicing their speeches in class all this week and most of them have it all memorized and are just polishing it up! We will start presenting them in class for their grade on Monday, so please check with them and make sure they are confident and have it fully memorized. They do NOT bring their costumes until Wednesday.
You are invited to come!!! Students will be presenting to parents and the younger students on the field. Students will come in regular school clothes, then they will change into their costume after lunch. All 4th grade classes will go down and line up around the field at 2:30. You are invited to come visit us between 2:45 and 3:15. At 3:15 you are welcome to sign your student out, or they can change and stay for the rest of the school day. I will have a clipboard outside to sign out on.
If you plan to come for Living History, please don't go through the office (that's a lot of parents all trying to sign in at once! You may go around the building straight back to the field. The west side of the building is always open and the gate on the east side will be opened around 2:00.
Thursday, May 21st is the last full day of school. We will be cleaning our classroom along with a variety of fun activities. Students will be bringing home their books and supplies used this year.
Friday, May 22nd is the last day of school and school will end at 11:30am. A sign-up genius went out for what was needed for the party. There are a few things that still need to be signed up for. I would really appreciate your help. Only parents helping at the party are allowed to attend. Students do not need to bring their backpacks on Friday. We will say our goodbyes and send them off as 5th graders!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
**We have several students in our classroom with severe nut allergies, so please do not send snacks that contain nuts. It is very important that we make sure our classroom is safe for everyone. We send our Thursday folders home each week with your child’s work. Please return the clear folders on Friday, each week.
We will be using this link to CLEVER this year on our computers. Students may use it at home, too! CLEVER
Reminders:
Please send your student to school with a filled water bottle as well as a couple healthy snacks for the day. Colorado weather changes hourly so please pack your student appropriate attire for the day. We will have PE every Thursday's - and some Friday's. Please have your student wear tennis shoes for those days.
