6th Grade History Classroom General Information:
  • Welcome to 6th Grade/Middle School!
  • GOOGLE CLASSROOM will be up and running by the first day of school.  At that time, students will be invited to their History Class with their AVA email address.
  • The format for all student emails is as follows: Last Name - First Initial of First Name - First Initial of Middle Name. Example: [email protected]
    • Students will assemble their first History Unit, "World Deserts," packets in their red (history) folder.
    • Students will use their packet (red folder) each day for classwork and homework.
    • They will also use their Chromebook to connect with Google Classroom, as some history assignments will be turned in electronically.
    • If students are absent, I post a summary of each day in Google Classroom under the title, "Daily Class Summary."
  • World History Textbook Info:

    • Each unit we study in 6th grade World History has its own Student Reader (book). In class we use a "hard copy" of the book.  However, each history "book" is available online; the link will be posted here and in Google Classroom FOR AT HOME/OUT OF CLASS WORK.
    • Link for World Deserts Student Reader (Text Book)
    • I have also created an audio version of each chapter, which can also be found in Google Classroom.
