National Junior Honor Society at AVA
 
The five pillars of NJHS are Scholarship, Leadership, Service, Citizenship, and Character. Invitation to join the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) at Aspen View Academy is an honor reserved for students who meet certain criteria. 
NJHS Candidates
Candidates for the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) must be a student in grades 7–9. Students will be invited to apply based on their GPA of the previous semester. 
NJHS Selection
Once students have been invited to apply to NJHS, the student must complete the NJHS application. The appliction will be reviewed and students will be selected for NJHS based on four criteria: scholarship, leadership, service, and character. 
NJHS Induction
Selected candidates will be inducted into the NJHS during a special ceremony. At the ceremony, students will receive their Certificate of Membership.
NJHS Membership
Members of NJHS meet during 8th period. Members are required to volunteer their services in the school and the community at large. Current and prospective members of NJHS must maintain "Member in Good Standing" status.
