Meet Mrs.Markert

This is my ninth year at AVA and my fifth year teaching 4th grade. I really enjoy all the fun activities we get to do this year! I have a son and daughter that are both in college. When I am not teaching I love spend time outdoors- hiking, jet skiing, swimming, walking, gardening, visiting with family and friends. 

I have a B.A. in Liberal Studies from California State University Northridge with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education.  I have an A.A. from Los Angeles Valley College.  I attended 1 year at the University of Southern California taking post-graduate classes in Leadership. I completed my teaching licensing at Denver Metro University.
