CKLA Curriculum
We will be finishing our unit on Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson. This is an abridged version of the original novel that was published in 1883. Treasure Island chronicles the adventures of the young narrator, Jim Hawkins, who discovers a treasure map when an old pirate stays at his family's inn.
This unit also provides explicit instruction in reading, writing, morphology, grammar, and spelling.
10 Book Challenge
The will read 10 books from a wide range of genres by the end of the school year. 10 books may sound like a lot, however, I assure you that I have the upmost confidence that your child will experience success. This challenge was handed out the week before spring break. The last day to complete the challenge is Thursday, May 15th.
