Mrs. Kauffman - 5th Grade

Hello! 

    I'm excited to be joining Aspen View Academy as part of the 5th grade team! I look forward to getting to know you all and working with you and for you, as you continue on your educational journey.

    One of my favorite quotes is, "Just because my path is different doesn't mean I'm lost," by Gerard Abrams. Everyone's path to learning is different and fueled by various passions. And furthermore, your destination may be a completely different location than the student next to you this year. Realize that YOUR LEARNING and YOUR GOALS are just that: YOURS. The responsibility is yours, the challenge is yours, and the success is yours to have. I am simply a guide to help you along the way. But you get to choose where you want to go and how you want to get there.

    A little about me is that I've been married for almost 29 years now, and I have two children. My daughter is 23, she graduated from CSU in '24, works in supply chain in Denver, and will be getting married in September! Just a month away! So bear with me, as I am excited and overwhelmed, but thrilled nonetheless! My son is a senior this fall at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, studying digital filmmaking with a minor in marketing. As a family, we love the mountains and enjoy getting together for family time as often as we can.

    My previous careers have included working in public relations, teaching, being a mom, youth ministry, academic advising and teaching some more!
