Mrs. Kauffman - 5th Grade

Hello! 

    I'm excited to be a part of the Aspen View Academy 5th grade team! I look forward to getting to know you all and working with you, and for you, as you continue on your educational journey.

    One of my favorite quotes is, "Just because my path is different doesn't mean I'm lost," by Gerard Abrams. Everyone's path to learning is different and fueled by various passions. And furthermore, your destination may be completely different than the student next to you this year. Realize that YOUR LEARNING and YOUR GOALS are just that: YOURS. The responsibility is yours, the challenge is yours, and the success is yours to have. I am simply a guide to help you along the way. But you get to choose where you want to go and how you want to get there.

    A little about me is that I've been married for almost 30 years now, and I have two children. My daughter is 24, she graduated from CSU in '24, works in supply chain in Denver, and got married last year. My son graduated last May from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. He currently works for KRDO the ABC affiliate in Colorado Springs as a videographer. He recently got engaged and plans to get married in October of 2027. As a family, we love the mountains and enjoy getting together for family time as often as we can.

    My previous careers have included working in public relations, teaching, being a mom, youth ministry, academic advising and teaching some more!
