Melissa Henderson - Kindergarten Teacher

My name is Melissa Henderson. This is my second year at Aspen View Academy, where I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to teach both Kindergarten and STEM. Before joining Aspen View, I was also a preschool teacher, and working with our youngest learners has always held a special place in my heart!

Kindergarten is truly my passion! I love creating a classroom filled with laughter, curiosity, creativity, and love. I believe learning should be fun, hands-on, and full of opportunities to explore, discover, and grow. Finding new and creative ways to make learning exciting is one of my favorite parts of teaching. And of course, nothing beats all the sweet hugs, smiles, and love that come with teaching kindergarten!

I believe that a strong partnership between home and school is one of the most important parts of a successful kindergarten year. I love getting to know my students and their families, and I want parents to always feel comfortable reaching out with questions, concerns, or anything they’d like to share. Working together, we can make this an unforgettable year of learning and growing!

I look forward to offering volunteer opportunities throughout the year so families can be part of the fun.

My goal is simple: to make every child feel loved, valued, excited to learn, and happy to walk through our classroom door each morning!
