Cabay's Corner

Welcome to Kindergarten! My name is Heather Cabay and I am delighted to be teaming up with you and meeting your kindergarten kiddos!

This will be my 16th year teaching and my second year at Aspen View Academy. I graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Middle School Education. From there I attended Concordia University of Chicago where I earned a Master’s Degree in Differentiated Instruction.

I have an incredible husband and the most amazing daughter that is 17. In April of 2016, my family and I made a decision to start a new adventure in the beautiful state of Colorado. Within two months we sold our house, took only what fit in two cars, and started driving.

During the warmer months we enjoy exploring, hiking, kayaking, and catching a good concert. When it’s cold outside, we love watching movies and reading books! My daughter and I spend our free time volunteering with various animals such as horses, llamas, alpacas, dogs, cats and guinea pigs. During our amazing animal experiences we acquired three guinea pigs, Whisper, Romeo, and Pickle.

I am looking forward to a fabulous kindergarten year!
