Shannon Sherburne
Hi! I'm Coach Sherburne, and I’m excited to be teaching Middle School Physical Education at Aspen View Academy. I am passionate about helping students build lifelong habits of fitness, teamwork, and personal growth. My goal is to create a fun, inclusive, and challenging environment where every student can grow physically, mentally, and socially through a variety of sports and activities.
With a strong focus on skill development, sportsmanship, and personal responsibility, our PE classes aim to prepare students not just for success in athletics, but for a healthy, active lifestyle beyond the gym. We cover everything from team sports like volleyball, basketball, and soccer to individual fitness, Olympic-style games, and lifetime activities such as pickleball and badminton.
When I’m not in the gym, you’ll find me coaching, cheering on our student-athletes, or enjoying the outdoors. I love being part of a school community that values movement, character, and growth.
I’m looking forward to a great year filled with energy, effort, and fun!

If your student has an excused absence, they can find a missed class makeup sheet outside my office. They will write a 1 page paper, directions are on the sheet of paper they pick up or feel free to email me and I can send the directions and rubric.
I have 2 children. My son is 17 and my daughter is 8. I have 2 dogs, a Border Collie and a German Shepard, and a leopard gecko. My husband, kids, and I love to be outdoors skiing, hiking, biking, playing sports, swimming, all the fun things you can do. I also enjoy movies and board games. We do family game night very often, it gets very competitive in our house! I am very excited for this school year.
