Susan Fosco
Meet Mrs. Fosco
Welcome! My name is Mrs. Fosco, and I am a Learning Specialist in the Special Education Department at Aspen View Academy. I am excited to begin my 13th year at AVA, where I have the privilege of supporting students in kindergarten through second grade. Over the years, I have had the joy of working with students across multiple grade levels, and I continue to be inspired by the growth, resilience, and unique strengths each child brings to the classroom.
I believe that every student can succeed when they feel safe, supported, and understood. Building meaningful relationships with students and families is one of the most rewarding parts of my work, and I am proud to be part of a school community that embraces the Capturing Kids' Hearts philosophy.
I earned my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Elmhurst College, completed my Learning Specialist endorsement at Lewis University, and received my Master of Arts in Special Education from the University of Northern Colorado in 2019. I enjoy finding creative ways to meet each student's individual learning needs while helping them build confidence, independence, and a love of learning.
Although I spent several years living in the Chicago area, I spent most of my childhood in Colorado. Returning to Colorado with my family in 2014 truly felt like coming home, and I have loved being part of this community ever since.
When I'm not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our four grown children whenever we can all be together. I also love hiking Colorado's beautiful trails, traveling, cooking, and making memories with family and friends.
I am grateful to be part of the Aspen View Academy community and look forward to partnering with families to help every child learn, grow, and have a wonderful school year. I can't wait to get to know you and your child!
