Special Education at Aspen View Academy

At Aspen View Academy, we believe every child can learn and succeed with the right support. Our Special Education team partners with families and teachers to provide individualized services that help students access the general education curriculum and build confidence as learners.

Special Education Services 

When a student meets eligibility criteria under IDEA, special education services are provided through an Individualized Education Program (IEP). IEPs are developed collaboratively by a team that includes parents, teachers, and specialized service providers and are reviewed at least annually to ensure meaningful educational progress.

This comprehensive approach allows us to provide the right level of support at the right time, while maintaining students in the least restrictive environment whenever appropriate.

We provide support for students with:

  • Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD)
  • Speech or Language Impairments
  • Other mild to moderate disabilities

Services are provided based on each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) and in alignment with guidelines from the Colorado Department of Education (CDE).
