Due to forecasted weather conditions which include heavy snow, Douglas County School District and Aspen View Academy will be closed Thursday, March 14th. In addition, BASE and all after school activities and events have been cancelled at Aspen View Academy.
We are making this decision early as a precaution so that we can provide our staff and families time to prepare. As this closure is being made based on weather forecasts – making the call early increases the chance that the snow could be less than projected. Should that be the case, we appreciate your understanding.
While it is never ideal to cancel a school day, we must do what is best and safe for the AVA community.
