We hope that you can join us on Friday, November 10th at 9:00am as we celebrate veterans and those currently serving in our community at our Veterans Day Assemblies. Students can participate in Wear Red, White, and Blue Free Dress of Choice on this day as well.
This year, Pre-K will have a special Veterans Day event in their classrooms. Michael Connors, local Castle Rock veteran and founder of Connors K-9 P.A.W.S will visit each classroom with one of his service dogs to read an age appropriate book and share about his dog. The first assembly for K-4th grades is scheduled for 9:00am-9:40am and will be held in the middle school gym. Doors will open for entry at 8:40am.
The second assembly for 5th-8th grades is scheduled for 10:00am-10:40am and will be held in the middle school gym. Doors will open for entry at 9:50am.
Families and veterans are welcome to attend both assemblies.
Immediately after the second assembly, we will be hosting a reception in the middle school commons for all veterans, active duty members and their families (AVA students will not be able to attend). The reception will include light refreshments.
