Steve Broberg - 6th Grade English / Language Arts

Hello 6th graders and parents! This is my second year at Aspen View Academy, but I have taught and worked with middle and high school students since way back in the 1900s. Regardless of what subject I am teaching, my ultimate goal is to lead and guide young people through the weirdest time of their lives in order to equip them for high school, college, and general adulting. I stress the importance of treating everyone with respect, acting with character and integrity, making everyone feel important and worthy, and walking alongside those for whom life may be a struggle. I may not have all the answers, but I’m willing to figure them out together with you. My greatest joy is to see students succeed and thrive as they grow up and go out into this big, scary, amazing, difficult, beautiful world of ours! 

Originally from Orange County, California, I’ve now lived in Colorado for almost 18 years, and am currently living on 13 acres of woods in the hills west of town, with most of my neighbors being deer, turkeys, bears, and mountain lions. I enjoy hiking, mountain biking, snowshoeing, bushcraft, building cool forts, and avoiding being eaten by the bears and mountain lions.
