Welcome to Mrs. Wilson's Kindergarten Classroom!

I am very excited to be teaching Kindergarten students again this school year.  I have been a part of the Aspen View Academy team since its inaugural year in 2013.  I believe that the incorporation of Capturing Kids Hearts as well as AVA’s strong, positive culture makes AVA a great place for children to learn and grow.

I am a graduate of Colorado Christian University.  I recently completed the Science of Teaching Reading course, a new state mandate for teaching in Colorado.  This will be my 8th year teaching Kindergarten and I feel it's the best grade to teach1 Children are my passion and I love to see the amazing growth that students make over the course of one school year.  I strive to make learning fun and exciting for my students.  

On a more personal note, my husband and I have been blessed to make their home in Castle Rock for the past 25 years.  We have three children, ages 18 to 27.  Our oldest is married and we have one "grand dog".  Our second son recently graduated from college and is getting a business off the ground.  Our daughter has just left home for her freshman year of college so now we are empty nesters! We hope to attend many of her cross country and track meets. I love the outdoors and am happiest when spending time with my family hiking, biking, paddle boarding, gardening or skiing or reading a good book. My favorite sports team is the Colorado Rockies!
